BRIEF Pieternel Van Steenbrugge is a Belgian interior architect in need of a logo and icon that represent her business and philosophy. IDEA After a deep dive into her philosophy, clients, and future plans, we defined Pieternel’s key values: practical, mysterious, asymmetrical, playful, refined. She also plans to add a new service: designing objects and furniture from scrap materials. Therefore, an icon suitable for both interiors and objects was the ideal addition to her visual identity. RESULT The strength of the final design lies in its refined shape and playful character. The icon forms a 3-in-1 letter combination (P, T, N) that can be reused within her full name, echoing the reuse of materials in her work. Derived from the Avenir Next typeface, it integrates seamlessly into the overall visual identity. Three base colours, two shades of green and one off-white, were chosen to build the identity. They add a playful touch and reference the natural materials used in her designs.
